To my friends, colleagues, advertisers, contributors, designers, sponsors and most importantly my readers of Island Child Magazine. After a lot of soul searching and thinking, I have decided that it is time to hang my hat with the magazine I started from the office in my house in 2006, and move on to other ventures. I started Island Child as a stay at home mom project when my daughter Ella was one year. She is now turning eight and I have decided that as the scope of the magazine focuses on 0 to 8, I will now pass the helm to someone else, another Mom in business with her own visions and goals for the resource magazine on the Island you have all grown to love. The timing is less than perfect, and I understand that, as we are in the middle of a great contest online here. Please note that the contest will be on hold for now, where it is, in the hopes that the new owner will pick up where we left off. My apologies for the disappointment you must feel with this decision.
